Pffft not at the prices they are charging......That's genuine 1995 pricing right there $9.99 to $19.99 for 1 album, sorry but I think I'll stick with spotify.

I was under the impression that this music app would only upload a audio finger print of your music, but it seems to be uploading the entire file.

iTunes Match is the one that just finds a fingerprint....

Google Music uploads your music to a "google drive" style setup, and lets you stream it back.

(iTunes Match is on subscription, Google Music is free).

I remember something about this feature and I think it currently only works on the UK version of the play store at the moment. It checks the file you're uploading against Google's collection and doesn't upload the whole thing if they already have it. Not sure if this feature will ever reach Australia.

Now that I've actually tried uploading music - it clearly says its going to fingerprint the music and only upload unique songs...

I guess it depends on whether it fingerprints correctly or not...

Seems to be uploading some, but not all of my music.

most of the prices I see are $11 or $14... I think that's pretty reasonable for the Australian tax. It's about the price of amazon minus the shipping and 3-4 week wait.
