I was wondering if anyone here is into Kpop music? For those not familiar with it, it's South Korean pop music. I admit it's quite a contrast to what I usually listen to (60s / 70s / early 80s rock.) I find Kpop really refreshing and it puts me in a good mood. The music videos are pure eye candy - filled with attractive people and whacky colours. I first discovered this musical genre via SBS Pop Asia.

Bladerunner, hey great choice of video! That's my favourite group - SNSD. I have to admit many of these girls look like models. With US gigs like the David Letterman Show, it's convenient that SNSD has some American born members (namely Jessica and Tiffany) as they can converse in English as well as Korean. Unfortunately, Jessica is longer with the group - she claims she was kicked out by the other members.

A bit of trivia - there's a third member (Sunny) who was born in the US and her family moved to Kuwait when she was a baby. Then the Gulf War erupted and they became refugees more or less. Then they moved to South Korea where Sunny grew up. Sunny freaks out whenever there are fireworks, pyrotechnics or loud noises - she claims that's an after effect from her experiences in Kuwait during the war, even though she was a baby at that stage. Though being in the entertainment industry, you'd think that she would be exposed to that sort of thing (pyrotechnics etc) an awful lot.

A test for music:

Is it just as good watching it with the sound off?
