And by the creators of the original effort, too. As part of a 12-odd-minutes-long retrospective on the genesis and eventual development of Dragon's Dogma by Hideaki Itsuno and his design team, the lads tore off their respective over-garments to reveal Dragon's Dogma 2 t-shirts, revealing that the game was in the works, while also thanking fans for their patience.

What a way to confirm that they are hard at work on the high-in-demand sequel. And it's about time, to be honest.

You can watch the full retrospective above, which has a lot of really cool insight into the thinking the team went into, such as how the freedom of combative choices in Street Fighter II actually helped shape the action in Dragon's Dogma. Or in how other RPGs with giant beasts, whose feet would be the only part you could physically attack, helped make the decision to have players be able to climb onto large-scale enemies, all took place.

It's actually a fascinating watch, and while there's nothing other than the Dragon's Dogma 2 merch associated with the freshly-announced sequel, it was a cool way to make the announcement at all. Capcom did, however, release a follow-up Tweet that let us know DDII was being made on RE Engine.
