It'll be a bit of a race between a handful of the most anticipated games this year, but if we're being honest, we're putting our money on The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom taking out top honours as, at the very least, in the top three games of theyear and likely the biggest seller among the lot.

Here's an all-new gameplay video showing just why we think that.

From the classic OG in Mario Party to the more recent runaway success of the likes of Fall Guys, Among Us and Overcooked, to name just a few, the multiplayer party game is something of an ever-delivering unicorn where more often than not there are no bad ideas, only bad players. And with that sentiment in mind, we'd like to introduce you to Screaming Chicken: Ultimate Showdown -- a game designed to tear your friendships asunder.

Choosing the right router for gaming devices and streaming and even work-for-home tasks can be daunting as no two devices ever perform the same. Continuing on with the Lovecraftian theme enveloping AusGamers at the moment, publisher Rogue Games dropped a recent combat trailer for its upcoming "supernatural action-platformer", The Last Case of Benedict Fox, which itself leans heavily into Lovecraftian and atmospheric horror tropes, but as per this new video, it's also full of awesome combat.

It's as if March were "Lovecraft Month"... Lovemarchft, or something. Ahem, Frogwares has just dropped its newest trailer for its upcoming Sherlock Holmes meets Cthulhu Mythos detective psychological adventue, Sherlock Holmes The Awakened, which the studio has worked tirelessly on in spite of the war in Ukraine, with one half of the team being based in the embattled region. And boy is it looking mighty fine.

Sometimes all you need is a few keywords (oh, hey Google). And in this instance from indie dev Black Salt Games and publisher Team 17 it was “eldritch fishing sim” that first caught our attention. Fast forward a bit of time (and bank it), and we’ve been dredging up a slew of thoughts on the studio’s debut original IP, Dredge, a game that definitely delivers on the cosmic horror and eldritch promise to serve up an atmospheric horror experience for the ages.

According to Valve, "Counter-Strike 2 is the largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike’s history, ensuring new features and updates for years to come." Counter-Strike 2 will arrive as a free update to CS:GO, where upgraded visuals, map overhauls, fancy new smoke effects, and a new Source 2 engine that improves server tick rates are all on the cards.

From the creators of Dishonored and Prey, Redfall is a co-op action game set in a sleepy coastal town overrun by vampires. It headed to Xbox Series X|S and PC in May (and will be available as a part of Xbox Game Pass) and we recently had the chance to go fangs-on. That is hands-on, and, err, play the game.

It's no secret on this website that we love Resident Evil 4. Not just for its own awesomeness, but for how it impacted and ultimately reshaped the third-person action and survival horror experience for the better. But what happens when someone decides they're going to try and top the OG with an all-new "Remake" of where it all started?

Sometimes we get unexpected announcements in our inbox that just immediately demand attention, and Trinity Fusion, a roguelite action-platformer from indie studio Angry Mob Games, did just that overnight thanks to its high-concept multiverse setup and hyper-stylised action and polished visuals. In short, what we've seen and learnt has definitely got us interested.

If I had to leverage a negative against a handful of the early Disney+ Star Wars stories, it's that too many of them took place on Tatooine or other already familiar locales. Star Wars is a huge universe with unknown planets and species and cultures just waiting to be explored and expanded upon. And today it looks like that's exactly what we're going to be getting with the forthcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sequel from Respawn Entertainment and EA.

It's no secret that we loved Coffee Talk. Or that we're waiting with baited breath for its sequel, Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly. So news overnight that its follow-up would be rocking Game Pass from Day One of its launch is actually huge news as the game's near one-person dev team, Toge Productions benefited hugely off the original's eventual Game Pass posting.
