As the headline suggests, Rockstar is now beginning to redirect more internal efforts towards its forthcoming Grand Theft Auto 6, an entry poised to destroy all other releases around it when it finally drops. And honestly, one we can't wait to see where the studio(s) takes us next, in particular with all the tech learnings from the still jaw-dropping Red Dead Redemption 2, as well as what new hardware opportunities will afford the team to deliver what we know will be a seminal, sprawling open-world experience.

Even though it was announced and showcased in some form several years ago, the resurfaced Skull & Bones from Ubisoft is skipping the last generation of consoles as a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC only joint. Albeit one with cross-play and cross-progression support when it anchors into port on November 8, 2022.

With RoboCop: Rogue City also featuring original actor Peter Weller reprising his role as the iconic "part man, part machine, all cop". In fact, a lot about this gameplay trailer looks very much like it was inspired primarily by the classic, and very violent, 1987 film. Played from a first-person perspective you take on the role of... Robocop.

You could be forgiven for not remembering that a few years ago Ubisoft wowed the media and the larger gaming community with a pirate-focused multiplayer game called Skull and Bones that was full of promise. It sort of went quiet though, with some wondering if we'd ever see it again. Thankfully the answer is yes, and it's in even better shape than when we last left it.

Ahead of its launch later this month we go hands-on with Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and deliver some ‘new to the franchise’ impressions of the RPG favourite. Where it nails the soap-opera like elements of classic JRPG stories in addition to creating a world that is as awe-inspiring as it is mysterious and strange.

August can't come soon enough for the Aussie-developed Cult of the Lamb from Melbourne-based studio, Massive Monster. The indie release which is being published by Devolver Digital features aspects from a number of different genres, but in all honesty it's the game's emphasis on cult growth and management that is perhaps its most alluring aspect.

And we have an all-new trailer highlighting that very hook for you.

As per its naming, the new Corsair HS65 Surround Wired Gaming Headset is a wired gaming headset where one of its big features is quality surround. As a brand Corsair is definitely up there in the PC space, so it's great to see that this also works a treat when connected to a PlayStation 5.

After being pushed back to later this year, Square Enix's open-world action-RPG Forspoken (PlayStation 5, PC) is now on track for a January 24, 2023 release. Based on gameplay footage we got back in March this is shaping up to be something of a visual spectacle, and an RPG that transports Frey, a young New Yorker, into a world fantastical creatures.

At the somewhat ungodly hour of Friday, July 8 at 4AM AEST, though this will be the time we finally get to see more Skull & Bones. Last year when Rockstar released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition it was met with widespread criticism due to several technical issues and some questionable upgrades to the visuals. At the time it was rumoured that the studio was also looking to remaster the original Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto 4. As of now it looks like those plans are off the table.

And that's literally as it's a sim where you use a high-pressure hose to clean up the neighborhood. And yep, as per the headline Xbox Game Pass sees the return of the Yakuza series too.

It'll be an argument that long reigns -- who is the greatest of all time in the hallowed annals of the NBA. Though more often than not, in any argument or heated debate about the topic, Michael Jordan tends to win the fight.

This year's entry in the annual NBA 2K series, NBA 2K23, unironically 23 by calendar default, will feature the great man as its cover athlete for two special editions set to release.
